Internet training with Sam

Is this you?

  • Work shifts or away from home?
  • Can't make a regular commitment each week?
  • Live too far away to meet up with me?
  • But you'd still like support and guidance in order to improve your health or fitness?

Then consider internet training with a personal touch!

How does it work?

Internet training involves the client undertaking a detailed appraisal to begin with so that we've met and discussed aims/goals and also undertaken some base line fitness assessment. It essentially provides an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little and for me to get to grips with what you want to achieve. This costs £100. It takes approximately one and a half to two hours. You then receive a comprehensive report which will tell you where you are in terms of your fitness when compared with others of your age and gender.

If you're too far away to meet up or would prefer not to participate in an appraisal, I will send you a comprehensive questionnaire to complete. The more detail you're able to provide, the better. This is because the more I know about you and what you would like to achieve, the more specific I can make your training. It will take you about two hours to complete the questionnaire.

After the appraisal or questionnaire, internet training is started. I send you a schedule to follow on a weekly basis which you then do and provide feedback on. We're in contact via e-mail once or twice each week and by phone each fortnight or more frequently if necessary. (You phone me at a time agreeable to us both).

Every eight weeks (if possible), we meet in person for a training/review session at my house. During this time we review how things have progressed, make new goals and possibly do a training session together where I can see you in action! If we're unable to meet up, then we'll have a comprehensive phone review at a time agreeable to us both.

How much does it cost?

The cost is as follows:

£20 per week plus £40 for the review session.

This is payable in advance as £200, i.e. 8 x £20 (£160), plus £40 review.

You will need to have access to Microsoft Excel and the Internet on a daily basis and be willing to provide as much detail as possible. This system of training works best with those who are meticulous in their feedback. This is because the more you tell me about you and your training, the better I can plan for you.

It worked for me!

"... I recently turned 30 and like a lot of people over the years a few extra pounds of weight had crept up on me by surprise and my brain was just beginning to catch up with my body in realising that I was nowhere near as fit as I had been in my early 20's. I decided it was time to do something about it. When I first considered enlisting the help of a Personal Trainer I had an image of someone shouting at me to run faster and do more sit-ups and that in a month to six weeks I would have the body of Cheryl Cole! Well I do not have Cheryl Cole's body yet but Sam has helped me on the way to losing nearly two stone and feeling considerably healthier and fitter. Went I first discussed my lifestyle and aims with Sam she offered me the option of Internet Training. I have a very busy and sometimes unpredictable job so for me the key to a realistic training plan was flexibility. My training is tailored to me: my likes and dislikes, my goals and even down to my weekly diary, so there is no excuse for not fitting it in; Sam also helped me to address some of the issues in my diet. Like any goal in life you will only achieve success if you are committed. However, the Internet Training route will require you to have some computer skills but most importantly will only work if you are totally honest. We all know it's easy to lie to the spreadsheet but ultimately your training and weight loss will not progress unless you are truthful!"
